It is an Eau de Parfum rather than an Eau de Toilette, which is the detail worth paying attention to. EDP carries roughly 8 to 14 per cent fragrance oil against an EDT's 5 to 9, so it stays with you through a working day instead of thinning out after a few hours. In this climate that difference is the whole argument for buying it.

Apply it more sparingly than you would a lighter scent. At this concentration two sprays travel further than four of something weaker, and over-applying is the usual way a good fragrance becomes a tiring one.

The carton is marked as dermatologically confirmed for skin compatibility, and it keeps for 36 months after opening. The glass bottle is a spray, finished in a graduated rose that matches the scent's positioning rather than shouting about it.

This is an accessibly priced fragrance, not a designer house, and we would rather be straight about that. If you want a full-size EDP to wear daily without rationing it, this does that job.

Alcohol, Aqua, Parfum, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Coumarin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Geraniol, Citral, CI 15985, CI 14700, CI 17200.

Linalool, benzyl salicylate, limonene, benzyl alcohol, alpha-isomethyl ionone, citronellol, coumarin, geraniol and citral are declared fragrance allergens. If your skin reacts to fragrance, patch test on your inner arm before wearing it properly. The CI numbers are the colourants that give the liquid its tint.

Returns on fragrance. Sealed perfume can be returned unopened within 7 days. Once the seal is broken we cannot take it back, for hygiene reasons.
