This is the best-known fragrance we stock. Obsession for Men launched in 1986 and has stayed in production ever since, which is rare: most scents are discontinued within a few years. If someone has worn a designer fragrance at all, there is a reasonable chance they have worn or smelled this one.

It is a warm, spicy, oriental-style scent rather than a fresh or aquatic one. That matters for how you wear it here. It is better suited to an evening, an air-conditioned office or a cooler day than to the middle of a hot afternoon, where warm fragrances can feel heavy. Applied lightly it is versatile; over-applied it will fill a room.

The bottle is the original rounded amber flacon with the burgundy cap, unchanged for decades and instantly recognisable.
