G. Bellini One Fragrance, a 75 ml Eau de Parfum, on our shelf in Kampala rather than ordered in.

It is an Eau de Parfum rather than an Eau de Toilette, which is the part that matters day to day. EDP carries roughly 8 to 14 per cent fragrance oil against an EDT's 5 to 9, so it stays with you through a working day instead of thinning out after a few hours.

Use a lighter hand than you would with a weaker scent. At this concentration two sprays carry further than four of something thinner.

The bottle is weighted clear glass with a ribbed gold cap, in the bronze carton shown. It is an accessibly priced fragrance rather than a designer house, and we would rather say so plainly.

Ingredients

Alcohol, Aqua, Parfum, Limonene, Coumarin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Citral, Geraniol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, CI 15985, CI 14700.

Limonene, coumarin, alpha-isomethyl ionone, linalool, citral and geraniol are declared fragrance allergens. If your skin reacts to fragrance, patch test on your inner arm before wearing it properly. The CI numbers are the colourants that give the liquid its tint.

Fragrance notes. The manufacturer does not publish a note breakdown for this scent, and we are not going to invent one. Ask us on WhatsApp and we will describe it honestly, or come and try it at the shop.

Returns on fragrance. Sealed perfume can be returned unopened within 7 days. Once the seal is broken we cannot take it back, for hygiene reasons.
