Ted Baker is a British high-street label rather than a fragrance house, and this is the men's scent from that line. The bottle is plain clear glass carrying one oversized navy M, in a navy carton with the same letter in citrus yellow. It is a confident, graphic piece of design that does not try to look like an expensive niche bottle.

It is an Eau de Toilette, carrying roughly 5 to 9 per cent fragrance oil. That makes it lighter than the Eau de Parfums on the shelf beside it, which suits a working day in this climate better than something heavy. The trade is longevity, so expect to refresh it in the afternoon if you want it to carry through the evening.
